Internet Speed Checks:
If you think you have a slow connection, please use these to get an idea of what speed your internet connection is running. Please be aware that your Internet Provider may not accept these values because in most cases you will have a router/ firewall between you and the internet. If the Router/ Firewall is failing, or is old this is true. If it is relatively new and in good condition, it should be at least 80% of the speed the internet provider is claiming. The only true test for the internet provider is to remove the firewall / router and connect direclty to the internet.
It is always a good idea to occasionally check the speed because it may be a sign of bigger issues to come. If you external connection is allowing water to leak in, or has poor insulation/ connections, then you may see a slowdown in the internet prior to actually losing the service completely. If you are paying to a certain speed, you should be getting it.

Who owns a domain. Whiule I do not like Network Solutions as a Domain Registar or Web Hosting provider, they do provide a good Doamin Registration lookup.
